How does HYPE work?
HYPE is a technology platform. Our smartphone apps connect partners and riders.
In cities where HYPE operates, use your rider app to request a ride. You need to pay upfront while selecting a certain package at the time of booking. When a nearby driver-partner accepts your request, you will receive an SMS on your given mobile number about the driver details.
This SMS also provides info about the Partner with whom you will ride, including Driver name, vehicle type, and license plate number. This info helps the two of you connect at your pickup location.
Use your app to enter your preferred location and package anytime before the ride. When you return to your final destination and exit the vehicle, the Vehicle returns to its garage and there your trip ends. Your fare is automatically calculated if there is any excess payment due to exceed in Time or distance or both and charged to the payment method you've linked to your HYPE account. You need to clear this pending amount before booking your next ride.
HYPE doesn't allow you to pay your fare in cash. HYPE's feedback system is designed to foster a community of respect and accountability for everyone.
What type of rides are available on HYPE?
HYPE offers both Self Drive of Luxury Cars and Chauffeur driven ones to its customers.
How about the Insurance for the riders and car in Self Drive or chauffeur Driven trips?
All of the Cars are covered fully via reputed Insurance companies covering bumper to bumper including the persons in the car and the third parties.
In Self Drive, in case of any damages, how do we pay?
Usually for all cars there will be a minimum Returnable deposit that is collected and any damages will be recovered from that deposit. In case if the damage charges exceeds the deposit amount, the Insurance company will be billed for the charges and the customers may still have to pay a part of it.
Can the HYPE app tip my driver?
The HYPE app doesn't include any tip for your ride. HYPE is 100% digital and a cashless payment system. Tip is voluntary but as a rider you are not obliged to offer your driver any tip or gratuity.
Is HYPE always available?
In cities where HYPE operates the service is available 24x7 (for scheduled trips). The minimum notice period for large number of cars depends on the provider and location.
Is HYPE available in my city?
HYPE currently operates in cities including Delhi, Gurugram, NOIDA, Ghaziabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Chandigarh, Ropar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Goa, Hyderabad and more cities with a total of over 46 cities in India.
Is HYPE available internationally?
HYPE currently operates only in India and soon will be opening in Dubai and Newyork. So next time you are traveling to these cities, you can book your convenient rides from India itself.
Is there a minimum age for riders?
Yes. Hype Riders can be of any age as long as adults accompany them. Riders below 18 are not allowed to take a ride alone. For Self Drive, the riders must be at least 24 years and must have a Valid Drivers license for a minimum period of 2 years.
To download and use the app you must be 13 years of age or older.
How do I know the final trip charges?
All scheduled rides on HYPE are priced Garage to Garage. That means the starting and ending of the overall trip start from
the available location of the car to its returning location. The package prices are built up accordingly and
the relevant invoices and receipts are duly sent to the riders once the trip is closed in the system.Sometimes this might take some time but it will definitely be closed.
This is required in HYPE's business model to ensure timely cleaning of the vehicle and readiness of the driver both in presentable condition to the riders. Usually the cars are not sent from one location to another location like a Taxi. Customer experience is paramount in our partners' business and aims to achieve overall satisfaction.
How quickly can I schedule a car?
HYPE allows the users to view the "Availability" on its home screen to show how early can the vehicle be available at your location. Usually it is a minimum of 1-2 Hrs keeping in view big cities and the traffic/weather conditions.
What are my payment options?
HYPE is a Technology Company and accepts credit card / debit card and net Banking payments via secured platforms in India. No cash or cheque is accepted. All payments are made at the time of booking and any extras will be charged after the trip closure.
Can I request a specific car?
Yes. HYPE operates WYSIWYG model (What you see is what you get). The card model, brand and color that you request are the ones you will see at your pick up location. While HYPE strives to achieve this 100% there may be chances of unforeseen downtime of the vehicles and a vehicle of respectable brand in the same category may be sent as replacement. Based on your trip history with the partners they often upgrade to the next class (based on availability and current selection of your car)
Can I request a specific driver?
HYPE partners with the esteemed and quality conscious rental companies that maintain professional drivers. Since drivers are allocated dynamically it may not be possible to pick a specific driver for the trip.
Is there any cancellation charge?
Depending on your location and type of car each partner may have a different cancellation policy of their own. It will be reflected in the "Estimate" section of the car booking.
What is the Pet policy?
In accordance with your local partner and their policies and conditions your pet may be allowed to ride. Please communicate with the provider thru HYPE contact number at the time of booking.
We believe everyone should be safe while riding through HYPE hence firearms are not allowed unless you are lawfully mandated by the local governments and authorities.
How do I cancel my trip?
You can simply send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on our 24x7 numbers to request a cancel. Cancellation charges may be applicable depending the particular booking, date, time etc.
What are the refund timelines?
If there are any cancellation charges, the remaining amount will be promptly credit card to your respective card of payment within 10-15 working days.
Who do I contact in case of emergency?
HYPE believes in safety and security of all of its riders and hence a 24x7 emergency telephone and email is always available in case of any emergencies.
Can we rate the drivers?
Yes. You can simply send us an email at email@example.com or call us on our 24x7 numbers to share your feedback.
